L.M.Innet, Death Doula
As a Virginia Qualified Advance Directive Facilitator and Death Doula, Leanne M. Innet brings to her clients compassion and empathy that she has acquired through her own losses of beloved people and pets as well as her work as a perfusionist (operating a heart-lung machine in cardiac surgery) and as a lawyer.
She provides non-medical, non-judgmental companionship as clients decide how they want to live their best last days or how to say good-bye to a companion animal, consistent with the framework set out by NEDA (National End-of-Life Doula Alliance) and the “unit of care” introduced by the 2023 AAFP/IAAHPC Feline Hospice and Palliative Care Guidelines. She tailors her services based upon a client’s specific needs, facilitating the conversation individually and through group presentations about end-of-life.
